All dresses are handmade by myself in my home studio attic in Sheffield. I work closely with each bride to ensure you are involved in every aspect of the process, from initial design ideas, selecting fabrics and trims, to the final touches and small details.  Each dress is created with love, care and attention to detail, resulting in a beautiful one off design, handcrafted for the individual. I feel it is important to get to know each bride, and them me. For this reason all fittings are included free of charge. I believe that each brides personality should be reflected in their dress.

The first step in creating your dress starts with an initial consultation, free of charge, to discuss ideas and explore possible styles, colours and fabrics. I will be able to advise you on suitable fabrics and features to suit your ideas. You are more than welcome to bring any images and inspiration you may already have, and family members or bridal squads are more than welcome to come along and help you discuss ideas in the comfort of my attic.

After this initial consultation, I will create a number of design ideas for you to choose from. If you decide to go ahead at this stage, a deposit will be required and a further consultation will be arranged to take your measurements and finalise fabric choices so I can begin work on your design. I always source a number of different fabric options for my clients to choose from, which hopefully sits within your desired budget.

A mock up of your design will be made to your measurements in a fabric of similar look and feel to that you have chosen. This then becomes your bespoke ‘in work’ pattern, and can be amended, adapted and altered to suit you until you are 100% happy with the design and fit. This part I love, as at this stage you can focus on your individuality and decide what details you want to include to make your dress completely unique!

Once these decisions are finalised, I will make your dress in your chosen fabrics. Final adjustments can be made at this stage, if needed, before completion and a final fitting.

I usually suggest allowing for 5 to 6 months from the initial consultation and the completion of the final dress, but shorter timescales can be considered if needed.

Your finished dress will be ready to collect approximately 2 weeks before your wedding but early collection can be arranged if you prefer.

Please note that your design is made to measure and fitted to your body measurements using mock up(s) from your own bespoke pattern to ensure proportions are correct and the garment will flatter your figure perfectly. Please also note that some designs may require two or three mock up fittings depending on the complexity of the style before your design is made in your chosen fabrics. All fittings are free of charge.
